Racing To Relate adopts a holistic, evidence-based approach to help protect the welfare of Thoroughbreds after careers in racing and breeding, in particular to support horse-centred transition and re-employment of retired racehorses in Equine Assisted Services.
Our Vision

Adrian Pratt
Adrian Pratt served in Army 1972-78 attaining rank of Captain in The Blues and Royals. He spent 40 years in the insurance industry, notably as managing director British Equestrian Insurance Brokers (1985-2006) and president of Equisure, USA. Read more >

Peter Drown
Peter has been advising clients for over 40 years and has a wealth of experience. His specialism is in advising owner managed businesses of all sizes on all of the usual, and not so usual, issues that such owners and businesses face. Read more >

Jeremy Harbord
Jeremy Harbord spent most of his career in financial services, latterly in wealth management as a financial adviser at James Hambro & Partners. Earlier in his life, he held a commission in the Life Guards and qualified as a barrister. Read more >

Jennifer Barker
Jennifer Barker is a University of Warwick law graduate, passionate about Thoroughbreds she has advocated for off-track Thoroughbred welfare across the professional industry for over 15 years. Anna Buckingham, PsyD
Dr Anna Marie Buckingham is the Racing To Relate CO for Mental Health and co-founder of the Racing To Relate project. Anna is a mental health professional and is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate in Psychology, a postdoctoral Masters in Psychopharmacology.

Dr Helen Sharp PhD is an experienced Equine Journalist working for several well-regarded equestrian publications, including The Irish Field, Breeding News for Sports Horses and Horse and Hound. Mariske is Managing Director of BM Connect, a Beavis Morgan group company. Mariske completed her degree in Accounting at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and qualified as a member of CIMA as an Associate Chartered Management Accountant. Read more >

Georgina Swain
